Unit 2 - Growth of a Nation Pre-Reading Research Project
During
the 19th century, America came of age and entered its literary and cultural
maturity. Research how the following
historical events played an important part in our nation's growth at this time:
Louisiana
purchase
Lewis
& Clark expedition
1838
Trail of Tears
Monroe
Doctrine of 1823
Create
an iMovie which illustrates your findings.
Be sure your movie includes the following:
1.
What aspects of American life did the event change?
2.
What ripple effects did the event cause?
3.
Whom did this event benefit the most?
4.
Whom (if anyone) did the event harm?

overall findings about your topic. Post a paragraph in which you reflect on
what you found in your search. What were
the most important facts you learned?

questions do you still have? How do you
feel about your topic now?
